A 16-year-old British teenager has been arrested on suspicion of hacking into the emails of the director of the CIA.

British police working alongside the FBI raided an address in the East Midland and arrested the teenager.

He is also accused of carrying out other cyber attacks on other high ranking US government officials.

CNN reported that the teenager was arrested earlier this week on conspiracy to commit unauthorized access to computer material.

A spokesperson said: ‘The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) can confirm we have arrested a 16-year-old boy in the East Midlands.

‘He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit unauthorised access to computer material contrary to Section 1 Computer Misuse Act 1990, conspiracy to commit unauthorised access with intent to commit further offences contrary to Section 2 Computer Misuse Act 1990; and conspiracy to commit unauthorised acts with intent to impair, or with recklessness as to impairing operation of a computer contrary to Section 3 Computer Misuse Act 1990.’

Wikileaks began releasing multiple documents from Brennan’s AOL account in October.

Earlier this week a hacker leaked data from over 20,000 FBI employees and over 9,000 DHS staff.
