NEW YORK — On Tuesday morning, police responded to a 911 call for a body floating in the water in the vicinity of Gowanus Bay and Buttermilk Channel in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
NYPD’s Harbor unit recovered an unidentified female and transported her to Pier 44.
EMS responded and pronounced the individual deceased.
The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
