NEW YORK — Officers from Brooklyn’s 68 Precinct arrested man in possession of an illegal loaded handgun after they responded to a report of gun fire on Friday evening.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired in front of 1202 66th Street after a 911 caller stated that he observed a man wearing a blue top and black pants, firing a handgun from inside a black suburban.
Anti-Crime team Police Officers Dwayne Hodge and Mikeljan Agolli observed a man standing on the street who fit the description given by the caller and quickly stopped him.
After the suspect was identified by a witness he was taken into custody and a Rossi USA .357 caliber revolver was recovered from the man’s SUV, along with two live rounds and six spent shell casings.
The 32-year-old man from Brooklyn was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment.
