WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) A man has driven a stolen off-road into the ocean in a strange attempt to evade the law.
The man can then be seen driving down into the coean in a bid to get away from police.
The bizzare chase started at around 10:20am on Tuesday when a Toyota Landcruiser sped away from police on Yanchep Beach, just north of Perth.
9News captured the outlandish incident with footage showing the end of the chase.
Crashing over sand dunes and speeding down the beach, the man can be seen attempting to make his way through the waves before his car hits a sandbank and begins to fill up with water.
Police can be seen trying to stop the man, leaving their vehicle to talk to him before he drives his vehicle into the ocean.
The man was retrieved from the ocean and later taken into custody around 12.30 pm, reported the Courier Mail.
