Ashley Sawyer, who appeared on the MTV show Catfish in 2013, has died.
She was 23-years-old.
From CNN: “Hoover Police Department responded to a 911 call shortly after midnight on April 30 at the Wood Garden Apartments where Sawyer was found not breathing. Capt. Greg Rector said officers attempted CPR, but Sawyer was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Several people were in the home when Sawyer died, the report said. One of her friends called 911.
“In all likelihood, her death is due to a drug overdose and is being investigated as such,” an official told CNN.
Heroin is the suspected culprit.
“MTV is deeply saddened to learn that Ashley Sawyer has passed away,” the network said in a statement. “Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.”
