lNEW YORK — Two NYPD cops reached into their wallets and purchased groceries for an elderly woman on Staten Island who could not make ends meet.
Officers DeMarco and Gormely of the 122 Precinct were conducting a wellness check at the woman’s residence and realized she did not have food in the refrigerator or cabinets.
The two kindhearted officers took the woman to a nearby grocery where they bought food.
The duo then returned to the women’s home to spend a bit more time with their new friend as she stocked her cabinets
