Cops In North Carolina Finally Nab Serial Cat Killer

MANTEO, N.C. — On December 30, 2015, Dare County Sheriff’s Office was contacted reference an animal cruelty case in the Avon North Carolina area. When Deputies arrived they found several cats dead in a dumpster. The Dare County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division opened a case and developed a suspect.

The case was taken before the Dare County Grand Jury on February 29, 2016. The Grand Jury indicted the suspect on four counts of animal cruelty.

The suspect was arrested on March 5, 2016 and placed in the Dare County Detention Center. Assisting in the case were the North Carolina Wildlife Division and the Dare County SPCA.

26-year-old Jordan Wallace Boykin was charged with 4 counts of Felony Animal Cruelty and Failure to Appear for Misdemeanor Carry Concealed Weapon.

He was released on a $30,000.00 secured bond.
