HOUSTON- KHOU – A Houston man is behind bars for allegedly beating his 6-month-old son. The baby suffered broken bones in both arms and three broken ribs.
Fredrick Dewayne Murphy, 27, is charged with injury to a child.
When Murphy and his wife took the baby to the hospital, he told doctors he was playing with him when he heard a “pop.”
Medical staff discovered the broken bones and determined the injuries didn’t match up with his version of events. They also noticed the baby’s ribs had been broken once before.
