YONKERS, New York — Today at approximately 12:00 pm, numerous patrol units and Detective personnel responded to a wooded area in the rear of 29 Chestnut Street on a report of a possible deceased male. Arriving units confirmed a deceased 40 year old male Yonkers resident at the location.
Members of the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and the Westchester County Medical Examiners Office retrieved the body for further examination. Initial investigation indicates that the death does not appear suspicious at this time, pending an autopsy and further investigation by the Detective Division.
The incident is being classified as an open death investigation at this time. The deceased male’s name is not being released at this time pending notification to next of kin.
