Deputies: Woman Charged After Stabbing Her Father Repeatedly

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County investigators have arrested a Lexington woman accused of stabbing her father Monday night.

Geri Lin Oswald, 22, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.

“After speaking with Ms. Oswald and her father, detectives have determined she stabbed him multiple times in the upper body with a large kitchen knife at their home in the 200 block of Bailey Island Circle.” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon. “Mr. Oswald was able to call out to his neighbors for help and the neighbors called 911.”

Mr. Oswald is in a hospital receiving treatment for his wounds, according to Koon. His medical team told investigators he was critically wounded.

Ms. Oswald was arrested at the home after speaking with deputies. She’s being held in the Lexington County Detention Center after a magistrate judge denied her bond.
