Downtown Seattle and beyond was experiencing a large power outage Wednesday.
According to Seattle’s electric utility company, an equipment failure at the Massachusetts Street Substation caused the outage.
They say it will be several hours before power is restored.
Fire crews were responding to at least eight calls for elevator rescues, according to the Seattle Times.
