VIRGINIA — (News Release / Fairfax Co. Police / Fair Oaks Police District) – Police responded to a report of an assault that took place around 9:40 p.m. at a Dunkin Donuts, located at 2946 Chain Bridge Road.

An investigation determined that a group of teenagers had previously been given donuts that would be discarded at the close of business each day.

They went to the store on Monday, July 25 and requested more donuts.

The employee initially refused several times but told them to return later and he would give them some. Prior to sharing the donuts, he allegedly sprayed them with a cleaning solution that contained bleach.

The juveniles ingested anywhere from one bite to a whole donut. When they realized the food may have been tainted, they contacted police.

No one required medical attention. A criminal investigation was launched and is ongoing.
