The 28th year of Fleet Week has seen nearly 4,500 sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard members sailing into New York City.
The public can undergo tours of the warships and watch performances.
The Navy described the event as an opportunity for New Yorkers to meet with servicemen and experience the capabilities of today’s Navy.
This year its display centerpiece is the USS Bataan, which was deployed in Libya and Iraq.
