A knife wielding Florida man attempted a carjacking on Thursday night, he quickly discovered that the vehicle he targeted was in fact an undercover cop car, occupied by two armed plainclothes detectives.

Dominique Albert, 27 years of age, approached the car on a Thursday night around 9:45 PM and proceeded to open the passenger door. Albert, pictured above, leaned in to the car whilst holding a knife in his right hand.

The detectives identified themselves as they saw his knife, detective Daniel Torok drew his handgun and leveled it at Albert, he then turned and fled on foot.

Torok and his partner then gave chase, a knife was recovered from Albert who unknowingly dropped it during the foot chase. When cops caught up with him, Albert “fought police with violence,, but was taken in custody after a lengthy fight.” Albert continued to struggle after being handcuffed and finally stopped resisting after a backup officer deployed his taster on Albert.
