TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — On Monday, Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a local hospital emergency room in reference to an injured person. Upon arrival, deputies were advised by hospital personnel that a victim arrived at the hospital with an injury across the chest and a knife wound across the right side of their neck, both of which were non-life threatening.

Deputies made contact with several witnesses at the hospital who advised the victim had been in an on-going dispute with 22-year-old Teddkiya Sailor over money. During the investigation, deputies learned the victim decided to confront Sailor at her residence after texting about the dispute and fighting.

Detectives later determined the victim and several other individuals arrived at Sailor’s residence to confront her. One of the individuals informed Sailor that the victim was there to fight her. Sailor then stepped back inside her residence, closed the door, put on her shoes, armed herself with a serrated knife, and exited the home to confront the victim, instead of locking the door and calling 911. Sailor then cut the victim across the neck and chest during the altercation.

The knife was later recovered by deputies inside a home in the 3200 block of North Mission Road.

Sailor was arrested and transported to jail.
