A man who was live streaming from his apartment when he started a large fire that burned down his building and resulted in one person being killed.

The small flame that started in his bin quickly billowed out of control, due to a series of serious errors in judgement.

It started when he lit a match and threw the still-lit matchstick into the bin.

A small fire started and, unsure of what to do, the man tried to put it out by throwing a series of flammable objects onto it – including a cardboard box, a plastic kitchen bowl and a dry blanket.

It took firefighters six hours to extinguish and, tragically, the body of a woman was recovered from the scene.

The blaze was so bad in the end that, according to local media, it spread to two other apartment buildings.

The identity of the man and his location are not revealed in the video, however it is reported to be a gamer called “Ushiro” who lives in Shikoku, Japan.
