Georgia Bank Robber Hits Again for Sixth Time in Two Months

ATLANTA—David J. LeValley, special agent in charge (SAC), FBI Atlanta Field Office, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for five bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery, occurring in a two month period and in/around the Riverdale, Fayetteville, Lovejoy, and Union City areas. On August 8, 2017, at approximately 12:29 p.m., a lone black male entered the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 11235 Tara Boulevard, Lovejoy, Georgia, and announced a robbery by presenting the teller with a demand note. The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money and departed the bank without further incident.

The same individual went on to rob, or attempt to rob, the following banks:

August 9, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., SunTrust Bank, 1330 Highway 85 N, Fayetteville, Georgia

September 18, 2017, at approximately 11:02 a.m., JPMorgan Chase Bank, 7145 Highway 85, Riverdale, Georgia

September 28, 2017, at approximately 11:30 a.m., SunTrust Bank, 7575 Highway 85, Riverdale, Georgia

October 18, 2017, at approximately 2:13 p.m., Bank of America, Fayetteville, Georgia (Attempted)

October 23, 2017, at approximately 11:33 a.m., JPMorgan Chase, 4550 Jonesboro Road, Union City, Georgia

The robber is described as being a black male, medium to stocky build, mid 30’s in age, often wearing shorts, sunglasses, and a black wave cap.

During yesterday’s October 23, 2017 robbery, the robber was accompanied by an unknown black female that stood with him at the victim teller station and was observed and photographed departing the bank with the robber.
