Hawaiian woman, suspect in sister’s death, captured in New York

ALBANY — State Police along with officers from the Albany Police Department arrested 37 year old Alexandria Duval of Maui Hawaii on Friday after locating her at a residence in Albany.

The Maui Police Department had issued a warrant for Duval after she was charged with murder stemming from an incident that occurred on May 29,2016. A State Police Investigator from the New York State Intelligence Center located a possible address for Duval in Albany and Troop G members were notified.

Troopers and Albany Officers patrolled to the residence and found Duval standing outside. She attempted to flee but was taken into custody and transported to the Latham barracks for processing.

Duvall was arraigned in the City of Albany Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail. She is awaiting extradition back to Hawaii.
