8-Year-Old Girl Fights Off Attacker In Bathroom Stall

Austin Police officers responded to the report an attempted kidnapping.

BUENA PARK, California — Buena Park police are searching for a suspect who allegedly hid in a park restroom stall and attempted to kidnap an 8-year-old girl Sunday afternoon.

A female victim was at Bellis Park (Knott Ave/8th Street, Buena Park) with family members attending her siblings little league baseball games.

The victim and her 10-year-old sister went into the girl’s restroom to use the facilities.

As the victim exited her bathroom stall the male suspect appeared from the large bathroom stall within the girl’s restroom.

The suspect bear-hugged the victim from behind and dragged her into the large stall. The victim pushed and screamed, causing the suspect to let go.

The victim remained in the bathroom with her sister as the suspect calmly walked out and was not located.

Bellis Park had hundreds of people in the park at the time of this incident that may have seen the suspect, or have photos of him.

Suspect description: Dark skinned male Hispanic, 25-35, 6’1″, 280 pounds; with black spiked hair, brown eyes, clean shaven and no visible tattoos; he was clean, smelled like cologne and did not appear to be homeless; he was wearing a dark blue tee shirt, gray shorts or pants, and solid black shoes.
