Hostage Situation Reported At Moscow Bank; Man Threatens To Blow Himself Up

A man has taken at least one person hostage and threatened to blow himself up at a bank in Moscow.

The suspect reportedly has an explosive device and has demanded to speak with the police.

A source reported to Interfax that a man aged between 50-55 threatened to blow himself up in a bank in the center of MOscow.

Russian National Guard and police have been sent to the surrounding area.

TASS news agency reports that the suspect entered the bank and placed a poster on the desk saying he was demanding a negotiator.

Bank employees escaped the building when he told them to call the police.

The source added that he threatened to set off the explosive device, he then said he had nothing personal against the bank.
