HOUSTON, TX. — Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators have charged a man for the stabbing death of his 67-year old mother.
On Friday, October, 12, 2018, at 5:20 PM, HCSO deputies responded to an In Progress Call at an apartment complex in the 19300 block of Park Row in west Harris County.
Deputies were told a female was laying in the parking lot of the complex and bleeding from the head.
The female was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
Investigators say the victim’s 34 year old son, Gabriel Pereyra, was at home with his mother and was covered in blood upon the arrival of deputies.
Pereyra allegedly stabbed his mother as she sat in a chair inside the residence.
Police say she then ran outside of the apartment, collapsed, and died on the sidewalk near the parking lot.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted the charge of murder on Gabriel Pereyra.
He is currently in the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility awaiting arraignment
