A 34-year-old man has been arrested at a refugee center in the town of Atterdorn, after German police recovered an image of him posing with a huge cache of weapons.

German police believe that the suspect received military training in Syria.

Intelligence officers recovered an image which shows the suspect crouching in front of machine guns, grenades and military attire.

The jihadi suspect can be seen wearing a headband which is similar to those worn by ISIS fighters.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, arrived in Germany posing as a refugee.

Experts have said that Germany is long overdue a terrorist attack by jihadists because of its open door policy and military operations in the Middle East.

Germany allowed more than 1.1million migrants into Germany during 2015, under Angela Merkel’s open door policy.
