In a shocking twist of events, a 19-year-old Jewish Israeli has been arrested for making hundreds of threats to JCC’s around the world.
He was arrested following a months-long operation in cooperation with the FBI and other foreign law enforcement agencies. He ws taken into custody by Israeli police.
Since January, more than 100 JCCs and other institutions have received bomb threats, prompting some parents to pull their kids from JCC programs.
The FBI, US Department of Homeland Security and other law enforcement agencies had been investigating the threats, but until now had yet to charge anyone with committing the vast majority of them.
