Dallas, TEXAS — A grand jury indicted four relatives in the forced abortion and brutal beating of a teenager in 2013.

On May 22nd, officers received a Delayed Outcry of an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child report from a 16 year old female.

This event  began with an aggravated sexual assault of a 14 year old child that occurred around August 2012, resulting in the child becoming pregnant. Several  family members decided to take matters into their own hands in order to terminate the pregnancy.

Sometime in early 2013, the family members physically assaulted the victim to the point where the victim gave birth to a stillborn child. The stillborn child was taken away and family members disposed of the remains. The victim was not rendered any medical attention at the time.

An affidavit says the relatives then tried to burn the baby’s body in a charcoal grill, but the remains were not destroyed. Two days later, the remains were disposed of in a plastic bag at an unknown location.

Lonnell McDonald, 27, Cecila McDonald, 25, Cedric Jones, 27, and Sharon Lee Jones, 45, have each been charged with engaging in organized crime for taking part in beating the girl, eight months pregnant at the time, according to Dallas County Jail records.

The five suspects are each being held in Dallas County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
