Police Provide Update After Earlier Scare at Colorado Springs Hospitals

COLUMBUS -- Police at Ohio State University are investigating a 'self-inflicted shooting' that happened at the Wexner Arts Center for Arts Sunday.

COLORADO — Around 11:15 am Monday, Colorado Springs Police Officers were dispatched to Penrose Main Hospital in reference to a possible threat to a patient, by an identified suspect. This is the same hospital where victims of the Planned Parenthood shooting ware being treated.

Officers searched Penrose Hospital and did not locate the suspect.

Information was then received that the suspect was possibly at Memorial Hospital, located at 1400 E. Boulder St. Officers searched the hospital but did not locate the suspect.

As Officers were clearing the scene, they located the suspect in a vehicle outside the hospital and conducted a traffic stop.

After questioning the suspect, it was determined that there was no probable cause for an arrest and the suspect was not a danger to the patient or the public.
