TENN. — Justin Timberlake’s voting selfie appears to have broken election laws, according to the Shelby County District Attorney.

The pop star snapped the photo Monday while voting in Memphis and posted it to Instagram with the caption: “Hey! You! Yeah, YOU! I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote !!! No excuses, my good people! There could be early voting in your town too. If not, November 8th! Choose to have a voice! If you don’t, then we can’t HEAR YOU! Get out and VOTE! #excerciseyourrighttovote”

The problem is, in Tennessee, law prohibits voters from taking photos or recording audio at polling locations.

According to WMC, violators of this law can face up to 30 days in jail and a $50 fine.

The District Attorney’s office told TMZ the case is “under review.”
