The LAPD is investigating a hate crime after a racial slur was spray-painted on the front gate of a home owned by NBA star LeBron James.
According to TMZ, officers responded to the Los Angeles home Wednesday morning and found ‘the N-word’ scrawled on the gate—the graffiti has since been covered up. James was not at the home at the time.
Investigators were reviewing nearby surveillance cameras in an attempt to identify the perpetrator.
No official statement was given by police.
