Man, 63, Randomly Murdered While Standing at Bus Stop

JACKSONVILLE, FL (July 15, 2015) – On Tuesday, October 21, 2014 the victim, Gary Bell, 63 years old was standing at a bus stop at the intersection of Moncrief Road and 35th Street in the early morning hours. The victim was shot, and found deceased by a passing motorist.

Investigation revealed suspect Timothy Webster, 18 was present at the time of the homicide. Suspect Webster was interviewed at the Police Memorial Building. Webster admitted his participation in the murder of the victim.

He stated he was a passenger in a vehicle with suspect Arsenio James, 26 who was identified as the shooter. Suspect James parked the car and both suspects got out. Suspect Webster admitted to walking up to the victim with suspect James and asked the victim to use his cell phone as a distraction.

The victim gave the phone to the suspect to use. Suspect James approached the victim and shot him in the head and went through his pockets. DNA in the victim’s pants pockets confirmed the identity of suspect James.

Both suspects have been arrested for the murder of Gary Bell.
