A man from New Jersey has been charged after he lost control of his drone and crashed it into the Empire State Building.
According to reports, the drone hit the 40th floor and then fell to the 35th floor.
The NYPD said that Sean Riddle, aged 29, went to the building’s security to ask for his drone back, security then alerted the police.
Riddle was then arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and navigation over the city.
There was no damage to the property and no-one was injured.
The man took to Twitter to say he was filming with a drone and it was stuck on the Empire State Building.
A similar even occurred in September 2015 when a teacher was arrested after crashing a drone into a stadium during a U.S. Open tennis event.
“Filming w/ drone, now its stuck on the empire state building… w/security #backgroundcheck,” Riddle tweeted before his arrest.
