Las Vegas, NV –Clark County coroner’s officials say Jeffrey Harry Clabaugh, 51 died of multiple blunt force injuries after the confrontation Saturday evening. Police were seeking the suspect in the case.
The victim was apparently beaten with a rock and found dead in a bush behind a convenience store in Vegas.
Detectives say Clabaugh was seen possibly taking something from the suspect’s car while the suspect was inside the convenience store on North Nellis Boulevard.
Police say the suspect saw Clabaugh fleeing and chased him into a desert area, where he apparently beat him with a rock and left the scene.
The suspect is described as ‘Pacific Islander’ around 20-30 years-old.
