PHOENIX – Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced a State Grand Jury indicted Samuel Hassan Kuyateh on revenge porn charges for allegedly posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend on the internet. Kuyateh is charged with one felony count of Computer Tampering and two felony counts of Unlawful Disclosure of Images Depicting States of Nudity, a domestic violence charge.

Kuyateh allegedly captured nude images of his girlfriend during their Facetime chats without her knowledge or permission. The relationship ended and the victim attended a wedding with her new boyfriend in July 2017. The wedding party created a chat room where guests and the newlyweds could post pictures of the wedding and events associated with the wedding. Kuyateh is accused of posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend into the wedding chatroom seen by her family, friends, and other wedding guests.

In 2016, Arizona passed a new revenge porn law sponsored by House Speaker J.D. Mesnard making it a felony to intentionally share a sexual photo or video of a person without that person’s permission with the intent to harm, harass, or intimidate them.
