A Mississippi man is now in custody after he allegedly stabbed his father to death and wounded his mother following an argument over food.

Ronald Pritchett, aged 32, was arrested at his home in Purvis, south of Hattisburg, at 3 a.m. this morning following a raid.

Police say he was wanted for the murder of his father, Percival Pritchett, 58, in Louisiana.

The son had been visiting his parents in Gretna, just south of uptown New Orleans, when the alleged attack occurred.
