CALIFORNIA — LAPD Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man in his 30s dead.

On Tuesday, around 5:50 p.m., Topanga Area officers responded to a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon at the 7200 block of Eton Avenue in Canoga Park.

When the officers arrived at the location they found a man in his 30s that had been shot while seating in his car.

The investigation revealed that unknown suspects were driving north bound in the 7200 block of Eton Avenue when they fired several rounds at a group of individuals driving in front of them.

A stray bullet struck the victim as he was seated in his car after getting off work.

The suspect(s) drove off in an unknown direction. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
