TEXAS — The San Marcos Police Department have a suspect in custody after a man was found dead in his home at the Villagio Apartments at 1850 Aqaurena Springs Drive.
Police received a call about 8 a.m. from a man who said he found his roommate dead. Officers went to the apartment and found the body of 20-year-old Francisco Sierra (2/04/1996) in his bedroom with a gunshot wound to his head.
Sierra’s roommate, who originally called police, was taken to the police department to be interviewed along with the several other people who were at the apartment. He later confessed to shooting and killing Sierra and throwing away the gun in a body of water at a remote location.
Officers are searching for the weapon. The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder.
Police did not give a motive.
