A man has been spotted riding in the trunk of a car whilst travelling on a highway in China.
The passenger, whose name is not known, appeared to be playing on his phone and took multiple selfies.
The road stunt received a wave of criticisms after pictures of the scene were uploaded to Chinese social media.
Two pictures of the young man, likely to be taken by another motorist in a following vehicle, were posted on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent to Twitter, by the Chengdu Public Security Bureau yesterday.
In one of the pictures, the trunk was semi open and the man appeared to be playing with his mobile phone in a relaxing way.
In a second picture, the boot cover was lifted up and the passenger was thought to be taking photos of himself.
The Chinese web users are awed by the road stunt and criticised the man for his irresponsible act.
Chengdu Public Security Bureau stated via Weibo that such behaviour could lead to serious consequences once a rear-end collision occurs.
