NEW YORK — Police are hoping surveillance video will help find a man who they said attacked another man on the subway in a dispute over a seat.

It happened around 2 p.m. Sunday on a southbound No. 2 train at Third Avenue and East 149th Street in the Bronx.

Police said the man, who is between 45 and 50 years old, got into an argument with a 25-year-old man over seat on the train.

That’s when he pulled a sharp object, a knife or possibly a razor, and stabbed the man in the stomach and arm before running from the station, police said.
