SEATTLE — East Precinct officers arrested a 31-year-old man Wednesday night after he flashed employees and befouled a self-checkout machine at a Capitol Hill grocery store.

Around 5 PM, employees at the store in the 400 block of Broadway E noticed the man standing at a self-checkout machine, laughing to himself as he placed his genitals on top of the scanner of a self-checkout machine.

The man fled the store but returned five hours later, and was confronted by employees.

Employees told the man to leave, but he refused and got into a shoving match with store security before leaving the store. Officers later arrested the man at Broadway E and E Harrison Street and booked him into the King County Jail for indecent exposure.
