HOUSTON, Texas — On Tuesday, around 1:30 P.M., deputies responded to an apartment complex in the 16300 block of Bohnhof Strasse Street in reference to a two year old girl walking around the parking lot alone. Upon deputies arriving, they located the child who was found to be wearing a soiled diaper.
Deputies were able to locate the child’s residence with the front door wide open and found a 12 year old boy and an 11 year old girl asleep inside. Video surveillance at the complex captured the children’s mother leave the residence at 9:24 A.M., and the infant leave the apartment at 12:33 P.M.
The mother was contacted, and identified as Jennifer Stanley when she arrived home. Child Protective Services were contacted and advised the facts of this case for further investigation. The children were released to a family member.
Stanley was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Abandoning / Endangering a Child with Intent to Return. Her bond was set at $1,000.00 out of the 263rd District Court.
