NEW YORK — On January 16, 2017, Troopers arrested Denise M. Townsend-Wacker, 37 of Tonawanda, NY for three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On January 16, 2017 at 6:20 pm, Troopers made a traffic stop on the I-290 in the Town of Amherst for speeding. During the interview it was determined that the operator was a 15 year old driving her 10 year old sister to dance with a 3 year old restrained in the back seat. Townsend-Wacker had the 15 year old drive her siblings to dance because she didn’t feel good.
Townsend-Wacker was taken to SP Buffalo and processed.
Townsend-Wacker was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Amherst Court for February 2017.
The children were taken by a family member and NYS Child Abuse and Maltreatment Registry were contacted.
