MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Officials in Memphis spent over a hour attempting to rescue a naked man from the Mississippi river Wednesday.
Police tried to capture the man several times, throwing a doughnut flotation device, a rope and a long snare pole. Police say he was uncooperative as he dodged their capture attempts.
Three boats, firefighters on shore and dozens of officials tried to get the man out of the water.
After several failed attempts to pull the man out, an Officer jumped in and grabbed the man. He was eventually wrestled into the boat.
