NEW YORK — Troop A continues to investigate the 2008 disappearance of a Chautauqua County woman

State Police in Jamestown continue to investigate the disappearance of 36-year-old Corrie Anderson of Busti, New York.

On the afternoon of October 28, 2008, Corrie Anderson visited a friend in the City of Jamestown driving a blue 2005 Dodge Caravan. At approximately 1:30 PM, she sent a text to a friend. That was the last known contact with Ms. Anderson.

The State Police were contacted after Ms. Anderson failed to pick up her son from school and initiated a missing person’s report. Items found at Corrie’s residence suggest she made it home sometime prior to her disappearance.

On October 30, 2008, Ms. Anderson’s vehicle was located in a field off Kortwright Road approximately two miles from her residence. Numerous leads were followed and an extensive search of the surrounding area was conducted.

Ms. Anderson has green eyes and chin-length blond hair. She is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing black corduroy pants, a black leather jacket and small wire-rimmed glasses.

The disappearance of Ms. Anderson continues to be actively investigated. Recently, investigators conducted numerous interviews and continue to comb the Southern Tier region following new leads that have been developed.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Jamestown by calling (716) 665-3526. Please refer to SJS# 2743966.
