Annandale, VA — Fairfax County Police Officers were responding to a report of a person being set on fire Sunday afternoon.
The scene is in the 4500 block of Commons Drive in Annandale, police said in a tweet.
Officers have 2 suspects detained and are searching for 3 more after the unidentified man was assaulted and burned. Police say a caller reported a man was being assaulted by 5-6 young men and saw them light him on fire.
Officers saw the suspects and chased them—two were detained and are being interviewed by detectives. Officers are searching the area for the remaining suspects. The victim was taken the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
