Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have announced the identity of the suspect arrested after the police involved shooting that occurred in the 5300 Block of Clay Terrace, Northeast on Saturday, August 8, 2015. The suspect, who remains hospitalized, has been identified as 22-year-old Renita Nettles of Northeast, DC. She was placed under arrest and charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Arson.
The investigation remains ongoing.
