North Korea has now moved forward its planned rocket launch despite warnings from the West and South Korea.

South Korea believes that Pyongyang intends to test fire its new long range rocket.

The North vehemently insists that the launch is only an effort to send a satellite into orbit and denies that they are testing any missile.

North Korea has not informed any international organizations of any changes in its plan, a South Korean Defence Ministry spokesperson said.

Officials from North Korea informed the International Maritime Organization on Tuesday that it would be attempting a satellite launch between the 8th and 25th of February.

Experts have warned that each time North Korea tests a long-range missile brings them closer to creating a nuclear warhead.

South Korea believed that the North has now completed all launch preparations, including injecting fuel and placing the rocket onto the launch tower.

Satellite images showed tanker trucks at the North Korean launch facility, which experts say indicate the filling of fuel in preparation for the upcoming launch.

North Korea previously tested nuclear explosive devices in 2006, 2009 and 2013.
