Belgium — **UPDATE: 6 Arrested In Belgian Terror Raids; Paris Attack Suspect Salah Abdeslam Not Found**

The Radisson Blu hotel in Brussels was placed under immediate lockdown Sunday. The military was deployed and no one was allowed to leave the hotel.

Guests could enter the hotel but are not be allowed to leave.

The Grand Place market and surrounding areas were also evacuated as police investigated a ‘ terror threat.’

The operation is being conducted around the Rue de Midi street, RTL News reported. Residents were asked to stay away from windows.

Police used buses to block off streets from media cameras. Local reporters were advised not to provide updates on social media.

It’s unclear if any arrests have been made. Brussels is currently on the highest level of terror alert.

“We fear an attack similar to the one in Paris,” Prime Minister Charles Michel told a news conference on Sunday evening. “A number of individuals could launch an attack on several locations in Brussels simultaneously.”

No further details were available.

Radisson Blu Royal Hotel is a 4-minute walk from De Brouckere metro station and La Monnaie De Munt opera house.
