NYPD Searching For Violent Bronx Rape Suspect

NEW YORK — On February 5, 2016 at 9:44 p.m., the victim entered a building located on East 183 Street in the University Heights section of the Bronx, when an unidentified male followed her into the elevator. As the elevator door opened the male grabbed her from behind and began to assault her. The unidentified male then removed cash and 2 cellphones from the victim before sexually assaulting her in the stairwell. The suspect then fled the location and the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

The suspect is described as a male black, who is approximately 18 years old, 5’8″ and last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
