“Quick response and outstanding tactics led to a great gun arrest,” said Deputy Inspector Francis Giordano, commanding officer of the 69 Precinct.
Brooklyn’s Finest responded to a 911 call of a man breaking into cars in late July. At about 1:00 a.m., Police Officers Gunn and Mei of the 69 Precinct observed a man in front of 1460 East 84 Street who matched the description of the suspect. The officers arrested the man after a brief foot pursuit. A loaded sawed-off rifle and stolen property were recovered.
The 19-year-old man was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
