NYPD Cops Recover Sub-Machine Gun and Bullet-Resistant Vest

Police officers in Crown Heights recovered four loaded guns after stopping a car for a traffic infraction. On Sunday, June 11, at approximately 2:50 a.m. members of the 77 Precinct Anti-Crime team noticed a 2017 Ford Pick-up truck illegally parked on the median of Atlantic Avenue at Classon Avenue.

The Police Officers observed the truck drive away with its lights off and then initiated a car stop. As they approached the vehicle they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and observed marijuana inside the truck.

The driver and a passenger were both placed under arrest and the vehicle was impounded.

A subsequent inventory resulted in the recovery of four loaded firearms, a bullet resistant vest, an extended magazine and multiple rounds of ammunition.

Arrested: Male, 32 and Male, 18

Charges: Criminal Posssession of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana
