Officer Reportedly Killed Inside Home, Details Are Scarce
CALIFORNIA — An off-duty Richmond police officer was shot and killed in Vallejo on Thursday morning. The scene is at Narragansett Court in the Glen Cove neighborhood.
Police didn’t elaborate further. They are expected to release more details in a press conference later this afternoon.
Crime scene tape was seen blocking of a small residential street in Vallejo.
Neighbors told NBCBayArea the officer has lived in the neighborhood with his wife, children and extended family for about eight years. Flags at the Richmond Police station were lowered to half-staff.
