OKLAHOMA CITY — Last Thursday evening, the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting death at 522 S. Bentley Road, Atoka.
When agents arrived at the scene, Douglas Arp, 55, had died from his injuries. His son Wyatt Arp, admitted to investigators he had dropped the gun, causing the weapon to fire a round striking his father.
This morning, an OSBI special agent tracked down Wyatt outside an Atoka County hospital. There, the agent questioned Wyatt more about the shooting.
After the interview, the agent arrested Wyatt on a complaint of murder in the first degree. Wyatt was booked into the Atoka County jail.
